Creating an 8MM look

You achieve this look by using both Look Suite and Misfire.

An After Effects 7 .ffx animation preset. This file can be dropped into the Presets folder (Adobe After Effects/Presets) and then applied from the Effects tab in the application. When it is dropped on the footage all the necessary Misfire and Look Suite plug-ins are automatically loaded. This file can be used on Mac or Windows and will work with MB Suite 2.1.

The Final Cut Pro version is built as a favorite for 5.0.4 and later. The file is a project file that the user can just open then use drag and drop to apply the presets. There are two files in the project: LS 8mm Push and Misfire 8mm. Apply the Misfire first, then apply the LS preset.


	If you are receiving the above error messages after installing Magic Bullet Frames, please do the following:
1.	Quit all programs including After Effects.

2.	Uninstall Magic Bullet Frames from START MENU.
		Only uninstall the After Effects installation and not the Premiere Pro installation (if applicable).

3.	Re-run the Magic Bullet Frames After Effects installer.

4.	During installation change your DESTINATION DIRECTORY to the following:

If you purchased Magic Bullet Suite 2007 & your serial number for Magic Bullet Frames is not valid (cannot click done button), please fill out a support request and provide us with ALL of the following information. Before filling out a support request double check that you are entering the correct serial number exactly as when it was given to you.
	1.	Order number.
	2.	First/Last name on order.
	3.	E-mail address used in your order.
	4.	Date of purchase.
	5.	Current Magic Bullet Frames serial number.

	A) During installation you may either install the Trial version or enter your Serial Number to activate your purchased product.

	B) Or after installation you may also serialize by doing the following: Apply your Plug-in to a comp and find the OPTIONS button at the top within the Effects Controls
	Once you have pressed the OPTIONS button a dialogue box will appear
	Within the dialogue box you can serialize your product with your purchased serial number.

1.	To open .Sit or .Zip files you must have compression software installed on your system.

			Install v2.1, the installer for FCP 4.5-5.0.

			Serial number look up is available to customers who purchased a Download directly from Red Giant Software. For retrieval you'll need your Red Giant order number and/or the email address you used in the order.

Our Mac version does not come an uninstall button or executable based process. Instead you drag and drop the relevant folders and files to the trash.
	How to uninstall Magic Bullet Editors v2 / v2.1 / v2.1.1 from Final Cut Pro.
	1.	Go to following path on your Mac hard drive
			MacHD > Library > Application Support > Final Cut Pro System Support > Plugins
	2.	Drag the following files into your trash:
			Deartifacter.bundle Looksuite.budle Misfire...[All]

	Watch the uninstall video and see how it's done.


Cause 1:
	If you are running Mac OSX 10.4.6, it is recommended to update to the latest version. The auto update upgrade for 10.4.6 causes an error in Final Cut Pro when using Looks Suite 2 Library.
		Apple software update.
		Installing the update and rebooting should solve this issue.
Cause 2:
	If you have just installed Magic Bullet Editors v2 on your system
		Make sure Final Cut Pro has been closed and you are logged-in as the ADMIN before attempting to install Magic Bullet Editors.
		Open Final Cut Pro after Magic Bullet installation is complete.
Cause 3:
	Magic Bullet Editors v1 was installed on an Intel-based Mac.
		Magic Bullet Editors v1 is not compatible on Intel-based Macs.
		You must upgrade to at least Magic Bullet Editors v2.1.1

			MacHD > Library > Application Support > Final Cut Pro System Support > Plugins >
			1.	Delete Magic Bullet Editors and Misfire folder.
			2.	Delete Look Suite Favorites (v1). After upgrading to v2, use the provided Look Suite 2 Favorites.

Magic Bullet Editors can be found in the Effects tab.
	1.	Look Presets: Effects tab > Look Suite Presets.
	2.	Look Suite and Misfire filters: Effects tab > Video Effects folder > Magic Bullet.

The easiest way to find this out, is whether your Mac has a third party graphic card installed. To check your graphic card:
	1.	Click on Apple Icon
	2.	Click ABOUT THIS MAC
	3.	Click MORE INFO
	4.	Click GRAPHICS/DISPLAYS

		If your Mac uses the integrated Intel GMA processor, Magic Bullet Editors will not work. iMacs are now shipping with ATI cards on all models above the base model, which means we do support almost all iMac's.

As of September 19, 2006 Magic Bullet Editors v2.1.1 is compatible with Intel-based Mac's running Final Cut Pro 5.1 or later.
	1.	See our Intel installation guide for installation instructions.
	2.	Download the most up to date installer from the product demo page.
			If you installed using a disc, this installer will generally be out of date.
			Install v2.1.1, the Universal installer for FCP 5.1 or later.

	You will need to download the updated version of Movie Looks v1.1.3
				Download here.

*UPDATE: This issue has been resolved on the Avid side, and all new installers should resolve this issue.

This problem is common when upgrading to Liquid 7.1.
	1.	Uninstall Liquid 7 completely.
	2.	Uninstall Liquid 7 through registry.

	3.	Re-install Liquid 7
	4.	Install Movie Looks
	5.	Apply Liquid 7.1 Update.

Currently Magic Bullet Editors is not backward compatible with any previous version. This means that if you have upgraded you have 2 options.
	Option 1:
		1.	Delete all applied "Looks" from Editors v1 Look Suite.
		2.	Re-apply them with the upgraded Editors v2 Look Suite 2 Library.

	Option 2:
		1.	Delete all filters applied using Magic Bullet Editors v2.
		2.	Uninstall Magic Bullet Editors v2.
		3.	Re-install Magic Bullet Editors v1
		4.	Export all clips containing Editors v1 filters to an external file.
		5.	Re-install Magic Bullet Editors v2
				Make sure you are now using Look Suite 2 Favorites and not Look Suite 1 Favorites.

You must upgrade your version of Magic Bullet Editors to v2.1.1. Final Cut 5.1-6.0 uses the new FxPlug, which Magic Bullet Editors v2.1.1 conforms to.
	1.	Uninstall all versions of Editors 2 from your system (if installed).
	2.	Download Editors v2.1.1 from our product demo page.
			If you installed using a disc, this installer will generally be out of date.
	3.	see our Intel installation guide for installation instructions.
			Install v2.1.1, the Universal installer for FCP 5.1 or later.
